Paired model development evaluation, October 22

Verified model: 39 to 25 of 56 known vulnerable cases.

A new full 112-case run of the deployed v14 source is compared with the final repaired-candidate run. Intermediate paid trials remain visible separately. The same route bytes, author labels, exact expected CWE, sink anchors, model configuration and frozen dependency context remain fixed. Both primary runs use identical grouping; intermediate grouping experiments remain separate. Both runs are label-known development evidence. Earlier trials remain available unchanged.

Strict expected CWE and declared sink overlap. Counts are TP / FN / FP / TN.

The verified candidate gained 1 strict detections and lost 15 earlier detections. It missed 31 labelled vulnerable cases and flagged 0 labelled safe cases. Failed and not-run stages are unmeasured. The baseline uses at most 8 files per batch across 14 batches; the candidate uses at most 8 files across 14 batches. Primary grouping is unchanged. Single stochastic runs still cannot isolate effects of individual code changes or estimate accuracy on your repository.

Different outputs for identical detection requests

In this pair, 14 of 14 detection request bodies were byte-identical. Their parsed replies differed in 14 batches, and their finding sets differed in 14. The final model recall decreased despite identical detection inputs. These two runs cannot estimate repeatability or attribute the full change to verifier code. Native coverage and model coverage remain separate above.

Separate fresh model-evaluation sample

Twenty-six cases were hash-ranked across 13 CWEs, one vulnerable and one safe case each, after excluding all 140 earlier model-evaluated IDs. All five vulnerable SQL-injection cases in the fixed author corpus had already been measured. Both SQL-injection strata were excluded to preserve balance without reusing a case. SQL-injection remains covered by the 112 known controls above.

The evaluator reviewed source anchors before predictions and kept the selected source from implementation agents until candidate freeze. Public-suite labels and the deterministic corpus had already been used during development. This is not an independent customer-repository holdout.

The final result repeats the same 26 cases after the first attempt left 10 verification stages failed and 0 not run. Scanner source, route bytes, labels, sink anchors, context and grouping are unchanged. This rerun is not a new untouched sample. Both attempts, their failures and their full costs remain visible below.

Fresh sample results retain all declared author labels and anchors.

New authorization and preserved cost history

All 5 new runs made 302 provider requests. Their calculated bound is $0.8771739 under the separately authorized new $1 cap. Earlier evaluations cost $0.9716970, making the lifetime calculated bound $1.8488709. The new cap is separate from the earlier budget; no historical spend is erased or counted twice. Actual account billing was not independently verified.

The series contains 166 distinct planned cases. Repeated baseline/candidate measurements do not count as new cases. Failed and not-run cases remain explicit. Detection and native analysis use isolated routes; verification can inspect bounded complete source dependencies. Other scan lanes, hosted runtime settings, repair behavior and after-merge outcomes remain unmeasured.

Retained paid trial trial-v15, 112 planned cases, at most 4 files per batch across 28 batches, 105 requests, calculated bound $0.3002832. Verified counts: 36 / 20 / 2 / 54; failed 0, not run 0.

Retained paid trial fresh-initial, 26 planned cases, at most 8 files per batch across 4 batches, 24 requests, calculated bound $0.0766476. Verified counts: 6 / 3 / 0 / 7; failed 10, not run 0.

Frozen identities, protocols and limits

One deployed-v14 baseline and the final candidate run use the same 112 known development cases, author labels, route bytes, strict expected CWE, sink anchors, model configuration and source-context policy. Actual grouping is recorded for both primary runs; any difference is disclosed. Intermediate grouping experiments remain separate paid trials. All gains, losses, safe controls and incomplete stages remain visible. Code changes and stochastic variation prevent causal isolation or customer-accuracy estimates.

Strict expected CWE and predeclared sink overlap remain unchanged. Related CWE, nearby localization, failure and missing-output diagnostics do not receive alternate scoring credit.

The optional fresh cohort contains 26 model-evaluation cases across 13 CWEs, excluding all 140 earlier IDs. All five vulnerable SQLI cases in the fixed author corpus were already measured, so both SQLI strata are excluded rather than reusing or relabelling a case. Author labels and source anchors were reviewed before predictions and withheld from implementation agents before candidate freeze. This public-suite sample is not an independent customer-repository holdout.

Local detection-stage prompts, source mapping, context-assisted verification and native union only. Actual hosted runtime configuration, full repository lanes, repair behavior, PRs and after-merge outcomes remain unmeasured.

The new $1 authorization is separate from the earlier budget. Historical spend remains visible and is not erased or charged twice. All new retries, failures and unknown-usage reservations count. Actual account billing was not independently verified.

Recorded full paired development run, October 22

Verified model: 34 of 56 known vulnerable cases detected.

The same 112 cases retain all 16 earlier strict misses, both earlier false positives, and every positive and safe control. Both previous cohorts are now label-known development cases. No new unseen sample was measured. Author labels, scored route bytes, expected CWE and sink anchors remain unchanged.

The full-run verified detection count decreased from 40 to 34. This regression remains published. A later focused verifier replay does not replace these results.

The verified stage gained 7 strict expected-case detections and lost 13 previous detections. It still missed 22 labelled vulnerable cases and flagged 2 labelled safe cases. Failed and not-run stages above remain unmeasured. Related CWE and nearby-line findings receive no alternate credit.

What changed in the evaluation input

Detection prompts and native analysis still receive only the isolated route files. Verification can now inspect bounded, complete directly imported dependency bodies from the actual corpus. No native findings or expected labels are injected into model prompts. This is context-assisted verification, with changed input scope compared with the prior isolated verification result. The new single run also groups the earlier two cohorts together, so batching and stochastic response variation limit causal comparisons.

The frozen input-context manifest contains 5 dependency modules; a review can receive at most two complete modules, 3,000 characters each and 6,000 characters total. Manifest SHA-256: f313c2303435ead2118e2588be660112b1cd72e908afec942dd3e9c8ca56ec57. The raw receipt retains individual source and sanitized-source hashes. This does not measure full repository scans, customer accuracy, model repair correctness or after-merge behavior.

Later focused verification-only replay

The later verifier replay includes 12 deliberately selected existing candidates: four false-positive examples, four prior-miss candidates and four retained vulnerable controls. It made no fresh detection calls or native inferences. These are known candidate decisions, not a new sample or a remeasurement of the 112-case aggregate above.

Retained candidates by selected control group. Failed and not-run decisions remain explicit.

false positiveRefute these examples2 / 40 / 40 / 0

Changes to candidate decisions cannot recover vulnerabilities absent from the detector output. No updated production detection aggregate is claimed for this later verifier source. The full recorded 112-case result and its cost remain unchanged.

Later detector check: four known full-pipeline controls

This later detector revision is checked only on four fixed known cases: safe cases BenchmarkTest00991 and BenchmarkTest00071, and vulnerable cases BenchmarkTest00265 and BenchmarkTest00497. Detection, mapping, source-context verification and native union run together on these four unchanged inputs. This intentionally small check does not remeasure the 112-case aggregate above or establish a production-wide improvement. The recorded full-run regression and the separate 12-candidate verifier replay remain unchanged.

Incremental budget and complete history

All 3 new attempts made 96 provider requests. The new calculated cost bound is $0.2744592 of the incremental $0.30 cap. Earlier runs cost $0.6972378, bringing the cumulative bound to $0.9716970 under the $0.9972378 ceiling and original $1 cap. Actual account billing was not independently verified.

The series still includes 140 distinct planned cases, including the earlier 28-case preliminary trial retained in the unchanged parent receipt. Rerunning these 112 cases does not add new cases to that total.

Focused four-case full-pipeline attempt 1, 5 requests, bound $0.0137376. Verified counts: 1 / 1 / 0 / 2, scored 4 of 4, failed 0, not run 0.

Protocols and limitations

Both cohorts are now known development cases. Compare the immediate prior published 84-case and 28-case outcomes with one new paired rerun. All 112 source files, author labels, exact expected CWE and sink anchors remain unchanged. Source-context or native-hint changes require separate scope disclosure. Single stochastic runs cannot isolate causal effects or estimate customer accuracy.

Strict expected CWE plus declared sink overlap. No label edits, expected-CWE aliases, alternate localization credit or removed controls. Failed and not-run stages remain in the 112-case planned denominator.

Both the previous 84-case cohort and previous 28-case cohort are now label-known development cases. The same 112 cases rerun once. The series contains 140 distinct cases including the earlier preliminary 28 cases retained in the parent receipt. No new unseen or customer-repository holdout was measured.

Detection prompts and native analysis remain isolated routes. Only model verification can inspect complete directly imported source modules under the separately frozen two-module, 3000-character each, 6000-character total policy. Native findings and author labels are not injected into model messages. These context-assisted verification results change input scope compared with the prior isolated-route baseline. Grouping the two prior cohorts into one new run also changes batching.

Every new paid attempt, retry and conservative unknown-usage reservation counts toward the incremental $0.30 cap and cumulative $0.9972378 ceiling, within the original $1 series cap. Earlier paid trials and their cases remain unchanged in the parent receipt. Actual account billing was not independently verified.

Single-run model variation, grouping changes and any newly supplied verification context limit causal comparisons. These expected-case scores do not measure precision across all emitted findings, repository accuracy, repair behavior or after-merge outcomes.

A later, separately frozen verification-only replay intentionally selects twelve known existing candidates: four false-positive examples, four prior-miss candidates and four retained vulnerable controls. No fresh detection or native inference is run. Expected retain/refute dispositions are evaluator metadata. This selected candidate check cannot replace or project a new 112-case aggregate, estimate detection recall or establish customer precision. The recorded full-run regression remains unchanged.

A later detector revision is measured only on four fixed known full-pipeline controls: two labelled-safe examples and two labelled-vulnerable examples, unchanged from the 112-case parent. This intentionally small check measures detection, mapping, verification and union on those four cases only. It does not replace the earlier 112-case result or establish an aggregate for the final detector revision. All requests and costs remain included.

Earlier model gap evaluation, October 22

Verified model-only: 28 of 42 known vulnerable cases detected.

All 84 previously model-evaluated cases reran with unchanged source bytes, author labels, expected CWE and sink anchors. The comparison uses each case's latest published result at the start of this iteration, drawn from three earlier configurations and cohorts. That before column is a composite, not one 84-case run. Additional paid development trials remain visible below without replacing this pinned baseline. A separate final fresh 28-case sample excludes every earlier model-evaluated ID, including the retained initial fresh trial.

Fresh 28-case model evaluation

One vulnerable and one safe example per CWE, hash-ranked after excluding all 112 earlier model cases. An evaluator reviewed operation anchors before predictions without sharing this selected source with prompt or mapping implementers. The public suite labels and deterministic corpus were already used in development. This is not an independent customer repository holdout.

Fresh cohort results use fixed author labels and predeclared sink anchors.

The fresh verified model missed 2 vulnerable examples and flagged 0 safe examples. The served union detected 14 vulnerable examples and flagged 0 safe examples. These counts do not establish precision across all emitted findings or predict accuracy on your repository.

These cohorts contain 140 distinct planned cases. The other 1,090 suite cases were not selected; failed and not-run cases above remain unmeasured. Prior familiarity and model training contamination remain unknown.

Separate native helper-context check, no paid calls

For the known safe case BenchmarkTest01162, isolated analysis reported 2 uncertain warnings. Supplying the actual source-proven helper body produced 0 findings. The isolated benchmark outcomes above remain unchanged. This one check does not establish general helper coverage or customer precision.

Route SHA-256: 0166fbad52e18a77640a4e97567a578935ec2104e4898dde87fa176c59e8064d. Helper SHA-256: 89db71030f136a205b52ea1aecec7ffb596efca2721ef91522eea4b2075814a4.

Shared cost cap and measured scope

All 4 new runs made 168 provider requests. The new calculated peak cost bound is $0.4532796. Earlier published runs cost $0.2439582, bringing the cumulative bound to $0.6972378 under the shared $1 cap. Returned token usage or conservative reservations account for every declared attempt. Actual account billing was not independently verified.

The 84-case run used 11 batches capped at 8 files; the fresh run used 4 batches capped at 8. Configured model deepseek-v4-flash; provider returned deepseek-flash. Actual production runtime configuration was not independently verified.

Protocols, earlier outcomes and evaluation limits

The before totals combine each case's latest published outcome at the start of this iteration from different earlier configurations. They are not a single 84-case run. Additional paid development trials remain separately visible and do not replace this pinned baseline. After totals are one new run on all 84 known development cases. Single-run response variation and configuration differences limit causal conclusions.

All 84 known cases retain their exact source bytes, author labels, expected CWE and sink anchors. Strict scoring remains exact expected CWE plus declared sink overlap. Related CWE and nearby-line findings are metadata only, with no alternate credit. Safe-case regressions, missed positives, failed stages and not-run outcomes remain visible.

The separate final 28-case cohort excludes every earlier model-evaluated ID, including the retained initial fresh trial and was hash-ranked and source-reviewed before new predictions. Its source and IDs were not supplied to prompt or mapping implementers before freeze. The underlying public suite and deterministic corpus were already used during development. This is not an independent customer repository holdout; prior familiarity and training contamination remain unknown.

One local detection-stage run per cohort uses production prompt, source mapping, configured verification and native union semantics. Actual production runtime configuration was not independently verified. Imported helper bodies, extra scan lanes, live exploit execution, model-generated repairs, PR creation and after-merge verification remain outside this evaluation.

Single stochastic runs cannot isolate causal effects of individual code changes or estimate customer-repository accuracy. The composite before result combines different earlier prompts, batch sizes and response samples. A strict expected-case score is not precision across all emitted findings.

The shared $1 cap includes every earlier published model run plus the retained initial fresh trial, final new runs and any additional declared paid attempts. Returned token usage uses frozen peak price bounds; unknown usage retains conservative reservations. Actual account billing and complete hosted product costs were not independently verified.

Model follow-up, October 22

Verified model-only: 7 of 14 familiar vulnerable cases detected.

The same 28 cases reran with unchanged labels, source bytes, expected CWE and sink anchors. Those outcomes informed the changes, so the before/after comparison measures development progress. A separate balanced 28-case cohort had no earlier model predictions and was fixed before new inference. Both cohorts come from the same known public suite. These are single runs; response variation can also affect differences.

Original 28 cases. Strict counts are TP / FN / FP / TN; no related-CWE or nearby-line credit.

The familiar rerun gained 4 strict verified detections and lost 2 earlier detections. It still has 7 strict model-only misses. On that cohort, verification removed 2 expected-case false positives and lost 0 expected-case true positives from mapped findings. A missed strict score can reflect absent detection, source binding, CWE choice or localization. Related findings appear separately in the download and receive no extra credit. Expected-case scores do not measure precision across every emitted finding.

28 untouched model-evaluation cases

One safe and one vulnerable example per CWE, excluding every earlier model-evaluated ID. The evaluator fixed the hash-ranked selection and reviewed operation anchors before predictions. The public suite and deterministic corpus were already familiar from prior development. This cohort is separate from the familiar rerun; it is not an independent repository holdout or customer accuracy estimate.

Strict expected CWE and predeclared sink matching on the separate cohort.

Earlier prompt-update trials, including results that did not improve recall

The initial prompt update was measured before the smaller-batch follow-up. These results remain separate. Their source, configuration, case outcomes and costs are retained. The earlier trials used one batch containing 28 files, with no file-count cap.

Each trial uses its own frozen cohort. Counts are TP / FN / FP / TN.

Cost and measured scope

All 4 follow-up runs made 82 provider requests. The final pair cost bound was $0.1056558 and earlier trials cost $0.1083948, for a follow-up total of $0.2140506. 0 requests lacked returned usage. Including the original pilot, the cumulative calculated bound is $0.2439582 under the shared $1 cap. Account billing was not independently verified.

Configured model deepseek-v4-flash; returned models deepseek-flash. Concurrency 1 serializes these cost-controlled runs. The final familiar run used 4 batches and the fresh run used 4, each capped at 8 files. Actual production runtime configuration was not independently verified. Imported helper bodies, application execution, additional scan lanes, patch generation, PR creation and full hosted scan accuracy remain outside this measurement.

Follow-up protocols, selection and boundaries

Strict original expected CWE and sink-line overlap are unchanged. All original labels, anchors and source identities are retained. Related CWE or nearby-line findings are diagnostic metadata only and receive no extra scoring credit. Diagnostic finding lines are model-localized after source binding; they do not prove exploit execution.

The original 28 cases and outcomes informed prompt/verifier improvements. Their rerun is label-informed development evidence, not an unseen evaluation. Both positive and safe-case transitions remain visible. Earlier prompt-only trial results and costs remain published even when they did not improve recall.

Each new balanced 28-case cohort excludes all earlier model-evaluated IDs. A publication evaluator selected it by frozen hash ranking and reviewed anchors before predictions, without sharing its selected source with prompt implementers. The public suite and deterministic corpus were already used in development; these are not independent repository holdouts. Training contamination and prior familiarity remain unknown.

These runs measure code-default detection-stage prompt, source mapping, verification and native union behavior with serialized concurrency. Actual production runtime model configuration was not independently verified. Imported helper bodies, application execution, extra scan lanes, repairs, PRs and full hosted scan behavior are outside this measurement.

The original pilot, prompt-update trials and final follow-up runs share a declared $1 cumulative cap. Calculated peak price bounds use returned token usage, retaining request reservations when usage is unknown. Account billing and complete hosted product costs are not independently verified.

Exclude all 28 original model-pilot IDs and all 28 prompt-eight trial-cohort IDs. Partition the remaining author-labelled cases by exact expected CWE and vulnerable boolean. Select minimum SHA-256(seed + original case ID) in each of 28 strata. No detector/model predictions used for selection or anchor review. A publication evaluator inspected selected source before any cap-eight prediction. Selected source was not supplied to prompt implementers. Public labels and the deterministic corpus were already used in development; this is a fresh model-evaluation cohort, not an independent repository holdout.

Recorded model pilot, October 21

28 selected cases measured, 1,202 not selected.

One vulnerable and one safe example from each of 14 CWE categories, hash-ranked before inference. This small, balanced, public label-known sample cannot estimate customer accuracy. Labels and suite identifiers were removed from model messages. All four lanes below use the same selected cases and exact expected CWE plus reviewed sink lines; unrelated findings receive no credit.

Only completed cases enter confusion counts. Failure and not-run outcomes remain explicit.

The model alone missed 8 of 14 vulnerable examples and flagged 2 of 14 safe examples before verification. Verification removed two false positives and one true positive in this pilot. The served union preserved native findings and added no expected-case detection credit. A passing combined result here does not establish that the model improves coverage.

Code-default model alias deepseek-v4-flash; provider returned deepseek-flash. Explicit concurrency 1 serializes this cost-controlled pilot; application default is 24. Production runtime configuration was not independently verified. Imported helper bodies are absent here, so this pilot is separate from the full-suite context-aware deterministic run.

Selection, model scope and reproducibility

Partition all 1230 author-labelled cases by exact expected CWE and vulnerable boolean. Select minimum SHA-256(seed + original case ID) in each of 28 strata. No detector predictions used. Manually inspect selected source before any model inference and declare security operation statement lines. Keep author labels without adjudication.

Read all 28 selected source post handlers. Anchors identify file reads/writes, digest/token creation, session assignment, parser configuration and parse, cookie security arguments, XPath/SQL/LDAP/command execution, returned HTML construction, or eval/exec. No engine predictions used.

Production detection-stage prompt, snippet mapping gates, configured verification and native union policy. Selected source files only, with imported helper bodies absent. No intelligence retrieval, repository execution, additional sweep/absence/spread/chain lanes, PR generation or full hosted scan. Public label-known corpus, not independent held-out accuracy. Labels and suite identifiers are not model messages. Native findings are never deleted by model review.

Native deterministic findings are preserved and unioned with production-verified model findings using filterNovel. Model failures do not remove native positives and are not scored as safe negatives.

Current frozen inputs and remaining limits

Known public labels informed detector work. All results are label-informed development measurements, not a fresh unseen holdout, independent audit or customer accuracy estimate.

Portable/default uses unknown target platform. Sixteen labelled-safe path guards remain flagged because POSIX-only separator assumptions do not establish safety on Windows. POSIX sensitivity explicitly changes target context while retaining all original labels.

Deterministic full-suite analysis resolves bounded source-proven Python helper return values. Imported helper side-effect sinks remain unmeasured. No application code is executed.

The model pilot uses selected cases and code-default detection-stage semantics with an explicit concurrency override. Actual production runtime model configuration was not independently verified. Imported helper bodies are absent in this pilot. It is not the full hosted scan pipeline.

All original cases remain visible. Failures, unsupported and unselected cases never count as safe negatives. Model stages use exact expected CWE and reviewed sink-line overlap. Mapped model findings, verified model findings and the served union are scored separately on the same selected cohort.

Model cost is calculated from provider token usage at frozen price bounds, retaining reservations for requests with unknown usage. Actual account billing and complete hosted product costs are not independently verified.

  • Full model-assisted production repository accuracy and runtime production configuration

The published DVPWA and PyGoat misses informed these detector changes. Both repositories, labels and case ranges are unchanged. These results measure regression progress on familiar cases. They are not a new unseen holdout or an estimate of customer accuracy.

Source counts use TP / missed / false positive / true negative. Secret cases are measured separately by the native secret scanner.

Earlier OWASP Python development regression

On the same 1,230 known cases, this run detected 452 labelled vulnerable cases, missed 0 and flagged 40 labelled safe cases. 0 unsupported and 0 failed cases remain explicit. The previous recorded run had 452 detections, 0 misses and 40 false positives.

Single-file deterministic matching, models and verification disabled. These labels informed development. This does not measure repository-level accuracy or OWASP endorsement.

Original repository and repair measurements

What happens beyond familiar test cases.

A corrected adapter was frozen before selecting DVPWA, predicting every text file and sealing the output. Case labels were adjudicated from source before opening prediction outcomes. This original first pass preceded the label-informed detector work above. Prior familiarity and training contamination are unknown.

2 of 3 labelled vulnerable paths detected.

Whole-file inventory: 25 supported source files, 23 unsupported for source analysis, 0 failed and 10 binary files excluded. Only the separately labelled paths have correctness scores. Native secret checks exclude external secret tools and live credential validity. A small purposive sample cannot establish production precision or recall. JavaScript and TypeScript repository holdouts remain unmeasured.

Generated repair consumer regressions

15 of 15 authored checks passed, 0 failed. Two deterministic patches were generated for JavaScript and Python consumers. Configured output was preserved; missing configuration failed closed. Static-data, cursor, browser, unknown-runtime and missing-import inputs abstained. A saved placeholder was blocked, while an unchanged cursor passed publication review only with original source available.

101 ms locally, $0 model cost. These synthetic consumers measure a narrow repair policy. They do not measure exploit closure, provider rotation, external application regressions or model-generated patch correctness.

Earlier external development run and evaluation boundaries

PyGoat: 5 true positives, 5 misses, 0 false positives and 4 true negatives across 14 labelled cases. Native secrets missed one signing key and left two labelled safe cases unflagged. An initial adapter serialization defect required a correction after labels were read. This rerun is development evidence, separate from the DVPWA first pass. Invalid and corrected run receipts are retained. Later detector work used these outcomes, as disclosed above.

One newly selected public Python training repository does not estimate customer accuracy or language coverage. No JavaScript/TypeScript repository holdout. Native secret scanner only, without gitleaks or live provider validity checks. Do not combine holdout, development rerun and authored repair rates.

This rerun missed 0 labelled vulnerable cases and flagged 40 labelled safe cases. Unsupported cases (0) and failures (0) remain in the inventory and are excluded from these rates. The original run scored 381 cases; that recorded mapping scored 1230. These overall rates use different coverage denominators. Cross-file helper bodies are not resolved, and unknown calls conservatively propagate input. This does not measure full repository or model-assisted accuracy. OWASP supplies the cases and labels; this is not an OWASP endorsement or independent audit.

Label-informed development rerun on a public third-party suite. The baseline labels and outcomes informed detector improvements before this freeze. Scanner source, rules and CWE mappings may differ from the baseline. This is a development regression measurement, not an independent held-out result, blind evaluation or official OWASP scorecard. Inspect the initial protocol frozen before the first measurement. License inspection checks the published license content; no human legal approval is asserted.

The original baseline receipt remains available: 2 of 145 supported vulnerable cases detected (1.4% recall). On those same 381 cases, that recorded detector found 145 of 145 vulnerable cases, with 34 false positives and 202 true negatives. The small repository first pass above adds separate evidence; broader unseen customer-repository measurements are still needed.

One fixture evaluated against its labelled rule only. Multiple findings in one fixture count once. Cross-rule detections are not scored.

Maintainer-authored vulnerable and safe twins stored alongside the rules. These fixtures may have informed rule development and are not a held-out dataset.

One local run: rule loading, fixture reads and matching. Excludes process startup, dependency installation, source hashing, network, repository setup and model work. Not a hosted scan latency estimate.

Model cost is zero because model calls and verification are disabled. Hardware, energy, hosting and full-product costs are unmeasured.

Deterministic rule matching only. No repository pipeline, retrieval, model sweep, patch generation, proof replay, dependency advisory or secret scanner accuracy is measured.

Undefined precision, recall or specificity is null, never a perfect score.

From a Cefense source checkout with Bun and workspace dependencies installed. This command has no model-enabled mode, makes no paid calls and writes the receipt to the path you provide. It does not promise byte-identical output: timestamps, runtime and elapsed time vary.

Reproduce the development evaluation

Clone OWASP BenchmarkPython separately and check out f1291485808b66e20ddb6b01b10dc71b3df8c8ba. Review its GPL-3.0 license. From the Cefense checkout, freeze the exact source, rules, case inventory and CWE mapping before measuring. Existing output files are never overwritten.

bun apps/scan-cli/src/independent-benchmark.ts freeze-development /path/to/BenchmarkPython protocol.json apps/cefense-ui/public/benchmarks/owasp-python-0.1-baseline-protocol.json
bun apps/scan-cli/src/independent-benchmark.ts measure /path/to/BenchmarkPython protocol.json independent-receipt.json

This command records the original protocol lineage and discloses label-informed detector changes. It cannot enable models or execute suite code. It retains all expected cases, unrelated findings, failures and unsupported categories. The native findings file remains local; the public receipt omits code excerpts. Input changes after freeze abort the measurement.

Patch correctness still requires independently replaying the exploit and running legitimate regression tests against a generated repair. This deterministic evaluation generates no patch and makes no claim about repair correctness or hosted cost.
